Specific learning opportunities are available to upskill in the physical, social, cultural emotional and advance care planning needs of people with a palliative care or end-of-life care need. The following free educational opportunities are provided online:

The End-of-life Essentials program provides education and training for clinicians and other workforce members so that they understand their individual roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities in delivering high-quality end-of-life care. 20 - 50 minutes per module

Indigenous Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (IPEPA) prepares mainstream and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health professionals to deliver high quality, holistic and culturally responsive palliative care to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and their loved ones. Palliative Care Curriculum for undergraduates (PCC4U) This program promotes the inclusion of palliative care education as part of all medical, nursing, and allied health undergraduate and entry to practice training, as well as their ongoing professional development.

Program of Experience in the Palliative Approach (PEPA) is part of the Palliative Care Education and Training Collaborative and helps health professionals to deliver palliative care by providing training in clinical placements in specialist palliative care services and interactive workshops.
