The palliAGED Introduction modules for aged care nurses provide a gateway to training and understanding in palliative care including symptoms and care issues.

Nurses new to palliative care and/or aged care. Careworkers in aged care may also find some of these modules useful.

Module 1 depends on user but allow approximately 30 minutes. Modules 2-10 approximately 15 minutes per module.

Comments

These modules are based on the palliAGED Practice Tip Sheets for Nurses. A companion manual for the Introduction Modules is also available. This provides communication tips and more detailed information about selected tools and processes referred to in the modules. You can also download interactive versions of SPICT and SPICT-4ALL. These can be completed online or printed to complete by hand. There are also reflection questions within the modules.
